I call this "Maeve's chocolate chip cookie in a mug." My 14 year old has made this microwave mug cookie at least once or twice a week for a couple years, and has perfected the recipe. She made the one shown!
It takes a few ingredients and 90 seconds in the microwave for a soft, warm, delicious chocolate chip cookie for one!

TOOLS to make a microwave chocolate chip mug cookie
You'll need a mug, of course! The one shown here is a small mug, about 4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches.
If you use a small mug, the chocolate chip cookie WILL rise above the top of the mug. If you watch the cookie in the microwave, it will rise up a good bit before sinking.

We love to use a small mug, but if you're worried about the cookie overflowing, simply use a larger mug.
While our recipes provide both the metric and non-metric amounts, for best results, we recommend a digital scale.

TIPS and variations
We cook our mug cookies in the microwave for 90 seconds. Microwaves vary greatly, so it may take a few tries before you find exactly the right length of time for your perfect mug cookie.
Prepare the dough in a glass bowl first, rather than right in the mug. This makes mixing so much easier.
In place of the chocolate chips, try mini chocolate chips or M & M candies.
