How do I print your cookie recipes?

Each recipe has a teal-colored PRINT button just under the image in the recipe card.

Can I make substitutions in your recipes?

If we include substitution suggestions within the recipe post, then yes. Otherwise, we recommend you make our recipes as written. Baking cookies is a science, unlike cooking, so you cannot easily replace ingredients easily.

Why isn't my question/comment showing up?

All of the comments on our site are moderated and sometimes it takes us a few days to read the comments and respond. We love hearing about your experience with our easy cookie recipes whether good or bad. We are happy to answer questions too. If you have an urgent question while making a recipe, you might want to reach out to us via email (beth@hungryhappenings.com or Meaghan at thedecoratedcookie@gmail.com) as we may be able to get back to you more quickly.
Rude, spammy, or derogatory comments will be deleted. Also, any hyperlinks left in comments will be automatically removed.

Can I get alerts when you publish new recipes?

You can subscribe to the HowToMakeEasyCookies email newsletter to receive updates whenever we publish new recipes.

Why didn't a recipe work for me?

Unfortunately, we cannot be in your kitchen while you are baking our cookie recipes so we cannot know exactly why a recipe did not turn out for you. If you reach out to us, we will do our best to help you determine what went wrong and how to fix it the next time.
Also, ingredients can vary from one manufacturer to another. If we recommend a particular brand of product, be sure to use that if you are able. As an example, chocolate can vary greatly. Be sure to read our tips within each recipe that calls for chocolate. You can also read Beth's Chocolate Making Tips on her Hungry Happenings blog for detailed information about chocolate.
We would really appreciate it if you went through this checklist below before leaving a bad review on a recipe:
- Did you re-read the ingredients and instructions, making sure you followed everything accurately?
- Did you make any substitutions that were not recommended in the recipe post?
- Did you use the proper equipment (ie: baking your cookies on a parchment paper-lined baking tray)?
- Did you check the temperature inside your oven using an oven thermometer? Oven temps inside the oven may not match the temperature you set.

Why do you make cookies using cake mixes?

Here on HowToMakeEasyCookies, we have shared cookie recipes that are simple to prepare and cake mix cookies are super quick and easy to make. If you prefer to bake cookies from scratch, you will find many from-scratch recipes here too.

Where can I find the nutritional information for your recipes?

At the bottom of each recipe, you'll find nutritional information. This is just an estimate as the nutritional information of every brand of product varies and you may use a different product than we did when creating our recipes.

Do I have your permission to use your images?

All of the recipe images here on HowToMakeEasyCookies were taken by Beth and Meaghan and are protected by copyright. You have our permission to share our images only if you also share a link to the original recipe.
Please do not copy entire recipes to share on social media or your blog.
You can see our photo use policy here.

Can I share your images in my round-ups?

Bloggers and media outlets have our permission to share images from our recipes as long as they are linked to the original recipe. Do not include our ingredient list or recipe instructions. We really appreciate it when you include the name of our blog in your post too!

Do you accept guest posts?

Meaghan and Beth create all of the recipes for HowToMakeEasyCookies.com so we do not accept guest posts.

Do you work with brands on sponsored posts?

We are open to creating easy cookie recipes using branded products and would be happy to discuss our sponsored post rates.
You can reach Beth at beth@hungryhappenings.com or Meaghan at thedecoratedcookie@gmail.com.

Do you create recipes for brands?

Yes, both Beth and Meaghan worked professionally in cookie bakeries and would be happy to work with you to develop recipes that can be shared on your website.
You can reach out to us to discuss our rates for recipe development at Meaghan at thedecoratedcookie@gmail.com or beth@hungryhappenings.com.
